Big Betsy is somewhat the Upper Keys version of the Southernmost Point Buoy in Key West. I see more tourists stopping to take their picture with her as the Mile 0 sign or the Southernmost Point. She has been there as long as I can remember and I have lived in the Florida Keys for 33 years as well as vacationed here since I was a teenager. If you're driving through the Florida Keys, stop and take your picture with Big Betsey the Lobster.
