Mac's Sea Garden, Key West

Key West is a Tropical Oasis at the end of a chain of Islands known as "The Florida Keys". Our small island is rich with culture, art, writers, sailors, bootleggers, smugglers and Pirates, friends and fun. The City was incorporated in 1828, four years after becoming the county seat of Monroe County. The City’s economy is dependent upon mainly Tourism. Other industries include Real Estate sales and Improvements, Local Artists, Many Local Authors including Ernest Hemingway. As Key West is a highly popular tourist destination is also a desirable residential location. Our Island is home to some of the world's finest restaurants, shops, nightlife, fishing, sailing, diving and watersports. Many people have come for a vacation and never went home. That is exactly what I did in 1992. This weblog is designed to describe "A Day in Key West" through daily photos and the eyes of a Key West local.

Mac's Sea Garden, Key West

Mac's Sea Garden has been a Key West Icon for over 40 years. They mostly sell silly "Tourist Trinkets" but they have some neat Key West stuff if you take the time to look around. You can get a Conch Republic Flag, tee shirt or hat. That will be something to remember your trip to Key West from. Better yet, call me to buy a home in the Florida Keys and you'll really never forget Key West.
