This tree has been growing on the Old Seven Mile Bridge for over 30 years. There is no soil whatsoever. It has rooted onto the bridge. It has survived countless Hurricane including Hurricane Irma which leveled half of Big Pine Key and Marathon. The locals have lovingly named him "Fred".

It's another beautiful morning in Key West. I like to come down to the Sunset Pier at Ocean Key Resort and Spa in the morning before they open and watch the boats go by. It is kind of like my "Zen Moment", do people even say that anymore? I sit and enjoy the quiet with my cup of hot tea.
