I want to take a minute to wish all of my readers a Happy Holiday and a great upcoming New Year. 2007 to date has been a great year and the people who log onto this blog every day have helped make it that way. It still takes some getting used to having Holiday dinners outside in December but I love it. I have met some of the greatest people I have ever known here in Key West. We have a great community here with a true community feeling.
I was driving around last night just looking at the decorated houses and I must have met a dozen new people and made a dozen new friends. Now you have to remember on a 2 mile X 4 mile island a dozen people you haven’t met is a lot. I was just taking pictures of houses and people came by and introduced themselves, said Merry Christmas and talked for a bit. That was a neighborhood feeling we didn’t have in Boston.
I am very happy I chose Key West to make my home and times like last night reminded me why. Even with shorts on, Palm Trees and Beaches it was a true Christmas feeling. Happy Holidays to all and thank you for reading. I look forward to making 2008 even better than this past great year.
